Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Price Hike: Buying a new Tata car could become costlier from next month. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPV) on Friday announced that it will increase prices across its passenger vehicle portfolio, including both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles (EVs), by up to 1.5% with effect from July 1, 2026.
The price increase will apply across Tata Motors’ passenger vehicle lineup, which includes popular models such as the Tata Nexon, Tata Punch, Tata Curvv, Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, and the company’s electric vehicle range.
In a statement, the company said the decision has been taken to partially offset the impact of rising input costs and continued inflationary pressures.
“This price revision is being
undertaken to partially offset the impact of rising input costs and sustained inflationary pressures. While TMPV continues to absorb a significant portion of these increases, a part of the impact is being passed on to customers through this adjustment,” the company said.
Tata Motors added that the extent of the price increase will vary depending on the model and variant.
The automaker said it has sought to ensure that the overall value proposition of its vehicles remains intact despite the price revision.
The latest announcement means prospective buyers planning to purchase Tata Motors vehicles, including both petrol, diesel and electric models, may consider advancing their purchases before the revised prices come into effect on July 1.
Tata Motors is one of India’s largest passenger vehicle manufacturers and has a strong presence in both the SUV and electric vehicle segments. The company said the price increase would be applicable across its passenger vehicle portfolio, with model-wise revisions varying depending on the product and variant.
