TMC's Siliguri candidate Goutam Deb declares over Rs 4.52 cr assets

Kolkata, Apr 5 (PTI) Trinamool Congress candidate for Siliguri assembly constituency, Goutam Deb, declared movable and immovable assets worth over Rs 4.52 crore, and stated that there is no pending criminal case against him.

The Siliguri mayor, in his affidavit submitted with his nomination to the Election Commission, stated that he has movable assets worth Rs 1.58 crore, and immovable assets, including a three-storey building, with a current market value of Rs 2.94 crore.

The TMC leader stated that there is no pending criminal case against him and that he has never been convicted in any criminal case.

Deb’s annual income in the financial year 2024-25, according to his income tax returns, was Rs 18.02 lakh, while in the 2023-24 fiscal, it stood

at Rs 15.32 lakh.

The TMC leader stated he has Rs 1.03 lakh cash in hand, while his spouse has Rs 30,000.

Deb has been made a candidate by the TMC from Siliguri for this assembly election, after he lost in the Dabgram-Fulbari seat in 2021.

A Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree holder, Deb stated that his sources of income are legal consultancy, pension as a former MLA, rental income and bank interest. PTI AMR ACD
