Chandigarh, Sep 4 (PTI) Rain lashed Chandigarh on Friday while many parts of Haryana and Punjab also received showers, according to the local Met.
The maximum temperature in Chandigarh settled at 31 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal limits. In Haryana, Ambala, Narnaul, Panchkula, Karnal, and Yamunanagar were among other places that received rain.
Ambala recorded a maximum temperature of 31.8 degrees Celsius while Karnal recorded a high of 31.2 degrees Celsius. Bhiwani recorded a high of 32 degrees Celsius while Rohtak’s maximum settled at 31.8 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Amritsar, Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Pathankot, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur and Rupnagar were among the places to receive rain.
Amritsar recorded
a maximum of 33.8 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana registered a high of 30.5 degrees Celsius. Patiala recorded a high of 32.7 degrees Celsius. PTI SUN SHS SHS
