Australia Vs England (Australia men’s cricket team vs England men’s cricket team) 4th Test Day 2 Live Score:
Hello and a very warm welcome to the second day of the fourth Test in the Ashes 2025-26 series which could, crazily, be the last day of the match at Melbourne Cricket Ground, too.
A frenetic opening day at the ‘G saw 20 wickets tumble. After Ben Stokes won a crucial toss on a green pitch under overcast skies, England’s quicks ran riot, dismissing Australia for 152 in front of a record MCG crowd of 94,199. Josh Tongue led the charge with a maiden MCG five-for, striking repeatedly as Australia failed to build partnerships despite brief resistance from Usman Khawaja and Alex Carey.
Australia hit back even harder with the ball. England collapsed
to 16 for 4 and were bowled out for just 110, Michael Neser taking four wickets as Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland applied relentless pressure. Harry Brook’s counterattacking 41 briefly revived England, but Boland sparked another collapse to end any hope of recovery.
Australia safely negotiated one over before stumps to reach 4 without loss, holding a slender but significant 46-run lead.
