Akshay Kumar met Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma in Jaipur on Thursday during a brief visit to the city, where the two discussed the state’s growing appeal as a filming destination. The interaction
also saw the actor express admiration for Rajasthan’s hospitality and infrastructure, noting his interest in returning for more shoots.
According to visuals shared by news agency ANI on X, the actor was welcomed with a bouquet and a memento during his meeting with the Chief Minister. Dressed in a black kurta paired with matching trousers, Akshay Kumar was seen smiling as he accepted the honour.

In a separate video from ANI, the actor spoke about his longstanding relationship with the state, recalling his earlier film shoots in Rajasthan. He said, “This isn’t my first time here. I’ve done about ten films here in my career. I was telling our Chief Minister a short story. I was shooting a film at Chomu Palace. At 4:30 in the morning, as usual, I exercise. It was quite cold.”

Sharing an anecdote from the same shoot, he added, “The watchman there saw me, so he took out his blanket and said, ‘Keep this, you’re our guest….’ The hospitality here is truly amazing… It’s true that if anyone wants to learn hospitality, they should learn it here.”
The actor also commented on the state’s rapid development, saying, “We discussed a lot of things… Rajasthan is emerging as a huge winner. So I’m looking forward to coming here to shoot more films… The infrastructure I saw while coming. There have been a lot of infrastructure changes in Jaipur, and things have moved very fast.”
Akshay Kumar has also shared his appreciation on social media following the meeting. The actor, who recently appeared in Jolly LLB 3 alongside Arshad Warsi, continues to keep a busy slate. His next project, Haiwaan, has entered its final shooting phase.
He revealed his look from the film through an action-heavy video on Instagram. Haiwaan marks the actor’s return to a negative role after nearly 18 years, adding further anticipation to the project.
