Real Madrid’s demands to sell Vinicius Junior have come to light amidst Arsenal transfer links, with the La Liga team asking for a whopping €160 million, according to a report in Diario Sport. Real Madrid aren’t ruling out a sale, though contract talks are ongoing.
As per the report, Real Madrid are open to resolving Vinicius’ future soon and have already determined their valuation for the Brazilian winger amidst growing interest from Arsenal.
Vinicius has entered the final year of his Real Madrid contract and although talks over an extension have been ongoing for months, no agreement has been reached. Arsenal are now looking to capitalise on the uncertainty surrounding his future.
Spanish journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon addressed Vinicius’ contract
situation earlier this week, claiming that both the Brazilian and Real Madrid are aligned in their approach to resolving the problem.
“Real Madrid are keen on renewing Vinícius’ contract and he is also keen on staying at Madrid. As long as Vinicius’ side does not see Real Madrid making a stronger offer, that is, as long as there is not a genuine move toward Vinícius’ position, they don’t see the need to meet either,” de Mon had said.
Arsenal are eager to strengthen the left wing and had targeted Morgan Rogers. But Chelsea hijacked the move by agreeing a £117 million deal with Aston Villa to sign the England international last week.
De Mon claimed that Liverpool are the only club willing to meet Vinicius’ wage demands, adding that the Real Madrid forward is keeping multiple top clubs interested as his contract situation remains unresolved.
“Vinícius’ representatives, of course, have to do their job. To find out what the position would be of other clubs that might be interested in signing him, whether in 2026 or 2027,” de Mon said.
