Border 2, starring Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, witnessed a significant slowdown at the Indian box office on its 11th day in theatres. After enjoying a strong extended second weekend, the war drama saw
a sharp Monday drop, earning less than ₹4 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk.com.
Despite the dip, the film continues to boast an impressive overall haul, having already crossed the ₹275 crore mark domestically. The decline on Monday, however, marks the film’s first major slowdown since its release, bringing an end to its strong post-weekend momentum.
Border 2 Day-Wise Domestic Box Office Collection
According to trade figures, Border 2 collected a massive ₹224.25 crore nett in its first week itself, establishing it as one of the biggest Hindi releases of the year. The film then continued its strong run in the second week, earning ₹10.75 crore on day 8, followed by a jump to ₹17.75 crore on day 9 and an even stronger ₹22.50 crore on day 10.
However, on day 11, the film witnessed a sharp fall, collecting ₹3.88 crore nett in India. With this, the total domestic collection of Border 2 now stands at approximately ₹279.13 crore nett. While weekday drops are expected for big-scale releases, the contrast between Sunday and Monday figures has caught the attention of trade analysts.
