'Salman Khan Is Not Biased': Shilpa Shirodkar Defends Bigg Boss 19 Host

Bigg Boss 19 host Salman Khan recently faced backlash from a section of netizens after Weekend Ka Vaar. Social media has been buzzing with claims that Salman is biased after he defended Amaal Mallik and reprimanded Abhishek Bajaj, Ashnoor Kaur and Kunickaa Sadanand in their clash that took place in BB house last week. Now, Bigg Boss 18 contestant Shilpa Shirodkar has come out in support of Salman Khan, calling him a fair and responsible host. She praised Salman for taking responsibility for 18 unknown people, and guiding them when they go wrong. She also added that he brings his own perspective, and just because it doesn’t always match the audience’s, doesn’t mean it’s unfair.

While speaking with Telly Chakkar, Shilpa Shirodkar said, “I don’t

think it’s fair to say that Salman is biased. Because he is not. Inka show hai wo. How can he be unfair? Hum log weekend pe rukte the ki Salman aake humko guide kare, kuch bataye. (It’s his show. How can he be unfair? We used to wait for the weekends just to have Salman come and guide us, to tell us something). A man who is taking responsibility of 18 unknown people who are staying there without family, without knowing what’s going on outside. How can you say that he is biased towards anyone?”

She further added that Salman Khan has his own perspective too, and just because it doesn’t match the audience’s, doesn’t mean it’s biased. “I don’t think Salman is biased towards anyone. He also has a point of view no? So if someone seems right or wrong from his point of view, and that doesn’t match your thought process, then you’ll say he’s biased? If he scolds Amaal and not someone else, there will be people who feel that’s unfair too,” said Shilpa. She said that there’s always going to be different points of view and that’s what the show is all about.

“But it’s unfair to say that he is biased. He has hosted the show fabulously for so many years. He is a fabulous host. And literally we would wait for Weekend Ka Vaar for Salman to come and guide us,” said Shilpa. She further added that one cannot please everyone. She also admitted that she hasn’t watched the Weekend Ka Vaar episode in which Salman addressed Amaal and Abhishek’s fight. However, she added that she can confidently say Salman Khan is not biased.
