Ramayana: Ranbir Kapoor-Yash's Film 'Cannot Be Told In One Part', Says Nitesh Tiwari, Reveals How It'll End

Director Nitesh Tiwari has finally revealed how Ramayana will end, saying the first instalment has been designed to leave audiences wanting more. Speaking during the Ramayana panel at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2026, which was attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and producer Namit Malhotra, the filmmaker confirmed that the two-part epic will conclude its first chapter on a cliffhanger.

The much-awaited mythological film has been one of the most-awaited films of the year, with its teaser generating massive buzz even before its official release. While the makers are yet to unveil the trailer online, multiple leaked clips from screenings have already gone viral across social media.

Nitesh Tiwari Reveals Why Ramayana Needed Two Parts

During a conversation,

Nitesh Tiwari explained that the makers always believed Ramayana was too vast to be told in a single film. He said the story naturally lent itself to a two-part format and that the first film would end at a point that would leave audiences eager for the second chapter. “And part one is a, something which you can call a cliffhanger, or something which will make people want to watch the part two the moment they leave the theater. That’s basically it, you know. It’s a story which deserves two parts. It cannot be told in one part. And we just kind of decided that this probably would be the best part where we can leave it at for part one and leave the rest for the part two.”

Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor had revealed that he hasn’t shot for the Ramayana climax as of now.

Ramayana Trailer Leaks Online Again

Even as fans continue to wait for the official trailer, footage from the trailer has leaked online. The trailer was first showcased during the Pratham Sankalp event at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, followed by a screening in Mumbai. Recently, it was also screened during the San Diego Comic-Con presentation. After each event, short clips from the unreleased trailer surfaced on social media, prompting fans to urge the makers to officially release the promo.

According to reports, producer Namit Malhotra and the film’s legal team launched an anti-piracy drive after the initial leak, while fresh clips continued to circulate online following the Comic-Con preview.
