Gift Nifty signalled a mildly positive start for Indian equities on Tuesday. As of 8:43 AM IST, the index was trading at 23,953.5, up 23 points or 0.10%. During the session, it touched a high of 23,998.5 and a low of 23,867.5 after opening at 23,928, indicating cautious optimism among investors ahead of the market opening.

Indian equity benchmarks ended sharply higher on Monday, June 15, as easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and a decline in crude oil prices triggered broad-based buying across sectors, particularly in autos, realty, financials and consumer-focused stocks.

The BSE Sensex closed at 76,264.33, up 736.38 points or 0.97 per cent, after touching an intraday high of 76,821.07. The NSE Nifty 50 settled at 23,853.90, gaining

231 points or 0.98 per cent. Although both indices pared a part of their early gains, they managed to end firmly in positive territory.

HCLTech shares in focus

The IT major invested Rs 1,427.25 crore in Sarvam AI, acquiring a 10.46% stake in the Indian AI startup.

GIC Re shares in focus

The government will divest up to a 5% stake through an OFS on June 16-17, with a floor price of Rs 352 per share.

Cyient shares in focus

The company secured approval for a Rs 720 crore buyback at Rs 1,125 per share via the tender route.

SBI shares in focus

The lender’s board will meet on June 18 to consider fundraising plans for FY27.

Adani Enterprises shares in focus

The company plans to form an AI and data centre infrastructure manufacturing alliance with Jabil.
