Asian Paints Q1 Results: Net Profit Jumps 40% YoY to Rs 1,539 Crore, Revenue Up 18%

Asian Paints Q1 Results: Asian Paints on Wednesday reported a 40 per cent year-on-year jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 1,539 crore for the first quarter ended June 2026. Its revenue from operations in April-June 2026 increased 18% to Rs 10,542 crore, compared with Rs 8,939 crore in the year-ago period.

Its net profit had stood at Rs 1,100 crore in the corresponding period last year, according to a regulatory filing.

The net profit in Q1FY27 was supported by calibrated price hikes and cost discipline amid rising inflation stemming from the middle east war.

Shares of Asian Paints were trading 0.82% higher at Rs 2,775.3 apiece on Wednesday at 3:08 pm.

On a standalone basis, Asian Paints’ net profit increased 34 per cent to Rs 1,478.4 crore

Q1 FY27, while its revenue from operations increased nearly 17 per cent to Rs 9,183.4 crore.

The company’s Ebitda for the quarter stood at Rs 2,169 crore, a 33.5% growth compared to last year’s figure of Rs 1,625 crore. Ebitda stands for earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation.

Its Q1 consolidated raw material costs rose 36% to Rs 5,449.3 crore amid volatile crude prices, but employee costs and other expenses grew slower than revenue at 12% and 10% respectively.

Amit Syngle, managing director & CEO of Asian Paints, said, “We started FY27 on a good note, building on the momentum of the previous quarter and delivering a strong performance across businesses. Decorative business grew at a healthy volume growth of 9%, supported bycalibrated pricing actions, translating into a robust value growth of 16.6%. Industrial coatings sustained its mid-teen growth trajectory, growing by more than 16% in value.”

Asian Paints had raised its product prices by about 12% to offset surging raw material costs.
