Raising a child is never easy and at a young age, most people are not ready for such a big duty. But a 19 year old boy from Ahmedabad made a choice that many will fear. His story is now touching hearts online. One day, he found a baby boy inside a truck tyre, wrapped in a plastic bag. Shocked and scared, he picked the baby and rushed to the hospital. Doctors said the baby was only seven months old, born early and very weak.
Many advised him to leave the baby at an adoption centre. They said it was the safest option. But the young man felt a strong bond the moment he saw the child. He decided to take him home and asked his mother to let them keep the baby. She first refused, but once she held the child, her answer changed. They named the baby Aarav.
June 14 became his birthday and that day, their lives changed. Today, Aarav is two years old, healthy, safe and loved by his family.
A brave choice At Just 19
Instagram page, Upworthy People, shared the story and 19 year old narrating the story revealed, “I found a baby, inside a truck tyre, wrapped in a plastic bag in Ahmedabad. I didn’t know what to do, but I picked him up and ran to the hospital. Doctors said he was just 7 months old, premature, too weak to survive. Everyone told me, ‘Give him up.’ ‘Take him to an adoption center.’ But I said no.”
“When I first saw him, I felt a deep connection with him and in that moment, he became my everything. I took him home. I begged my mother, ‘Please maa, let’s keep him.’ At first, she said no. But then she held him and she said yes. We named him Aarav. We didn’t have a father. But now, we had a reason to keep going. We found him on June 14th. That’s the day our world changed. So every year, we celebrate it as his birthday. Today, he’s 2 years old. Healthy. Loved and my heart is full. Aarav is not just my brother, he’s my miracle. Not all siblings are born in the same womb. Some are chosen by the heart.

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Absolutely wonderful. Keep in mind, till age 12 he will be an absolute gem and then biology rewires his head for pretty much no fault of his and the teen years are when he needs his brother’s maximum support.”
Another asked, “I try not to judge, but how could anyone throw a baby in the trash?”
“The story’s beginning was just too heartbreaking. I couldn’t bear to think what kind of situation would make someone dump an infant in a plastic bag inside a tyre. Thank god it gets better from there,” a comment read.

When someone questioned how the child will get a birth certificate and other legal papers, another person pointed out that keeping an abandoned baby without informing the authorities is not allowed. They explained that such cases must be reported to the police right away so the child can be legally protected and proper documents can be issued.
