May 3 (PTI) A fire broke out in an open ground in a village in Navi Mumbai on Sunday afternoon, and there were no casualties in the incident, an official said.
Scrap materials dumped in an open ground caught fire in Bhandarli village around 2.40 pm, he said.
Teams from the Airoli, Koparkhairane and Nerul fire departments rushed to the scene with water browsers and fire engines from the Thane Municipal Corporation were also deployed, the official said.
While no injuries were reported in the incident, efforts were underway to douse the flames, he said, adding that the cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained. PTI COR ARU
