squad selection for Test and ODI series vs Afghanistan LIVE Updates: Ajit Agarkar-headed Indian men’s cricket team selection panel is set to meet in Guwahati today to pick the squads for the one-off Test between India and Afghanistan and the ODI series that will follow. The Test, slated to be played from June 6, isn’t part of the ICC World Test Championship though. It will be interesting if selectors opt for a full-strength squad or rest a few first-choice players including the top-ranked Test bowler Jasprit Bumrah.
While the eyes will be on the seniors, there are reports of a few rookies also getting a look in including Jammu and Kashmir’s Auqib Dar (for Tests) and Delhi’s Prince Yadav (for ODIs).
