Amrita Rao delivered a subtle yet impactful performance in the first instalment of Jolly LLB. The film, directed by Subhash Kapoor, starred Arshad Warsi as Jagdish Tyagi aka “Jolly”, a struggling lawyer who takes on a high-profile hit-and-run case.

During the legal chaos, Amrita who played Sandhya, Jolly’s supporting girlfriend brought emotional depth and humanised the protagonist’s path. Her character anchored Jolly, providing both criticism and encouragement as he grappled with moral quandaries and the temptation of money over justice.
