Buzz Around Key US Deportation: Anmol Bishnoi, Wanted In Baba Siddique Murder, May Be Sent Back

Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and a key conspirator in the assassination of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique, is likely to be deported to India.

The US’ Department of Homeland Security, in an email to Siddique’s son, Zeeshan Siddiqui, confirmed the development.

“This email is to inform you ANMOL BISHNOI has been removed from the United States by the federal government. The offender was removed on November 18, 2025,” the email as shared by Zeeshan stated.

As per Interpol sources, Anmol would likely be brought to New Delhi and the NIA would seek his custody.

Last year, Anmol was taken into police custody in California.

Who Is Anmol Bishnoi?

Anmol is the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is accused

of running a global criminal syndicate despite being in prison.

Anmol gained notoriety after being placed on the National Investigation Agency (NIA)’s most-wanted list, with a Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to his arrest.

In the murder of Baba Siddique, the Mumbai Police revealed that three suspected shooters involved in the assassination were in contact with Anmol. In the chargesheet, the Crime Branch named Anmol as the person who had plotted the murder, and called him a wanted accused.

Two of the accused, Ramphool Kanjoia and Nitin Sapre, allegedly told investigators that Anmol coordinated the attack. They also claimed that Anmol provided the shooters with photographs of Siddique and his son, Zeeshan. Accused Shiv Kumar Gautam told police that another wanted accused Shubham Lonkar was his handler, who told him that gangster Anmol Bishnoi wanted to create terror in Mumbai.

Both Lawrence and Anmol Bishnoi, originally from Fazilka in Punjab, have been named as wanted suspects in the April 14, 2024’s shooting incident outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. In a Facebook post following the attack, Anmol openly claimed responsibility for the firing incident.

In addition to his involvement in the cases of Siddique and Khan, Anmol’s name also surfaced in the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer and Congress politician Sidhu Moosewala. He is alleged to have provided weapons and logistical support to the men who killed Moosewala.

Eighteen cases have been filed against him, including one that claims he provided weapons and logistical support to the men who murdered Moosewala. Goldy Brar, another Bishnoi gang member, first took responsibility, then later claimed it had been carried out to avenge a rival politician’s murder.

Baba Siddique Murder Case

Baba Siddique (66) was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Mumbai’s Neelamnagar area on October 12, 2024, by three assailants.

The assailants, armed with pistols, had been following Siddique. As he walked towards his car, parked about 25 to 30 metres away, one of the men, identified as Shivkumar Gautam, allegedly fired six shots. Three bullets struck Siddique in the upper body, causing fatal injuries. Siddique was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he died within an hour.

Gurmail Singh, a native of Haryana and Dharamraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh along with Shiva Kumar were the other two who accompanied Shivam in murdering Siddique.

The Mumbai Crime Branch and the Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force (STF) arrested main shooter Shiv Kumar Gautam alias Shiva, along with his aides near Nepal border from Nanpara, Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, during a joint operation.
