Barabanki (UP), Sep 16 (PTI) A 65-year-old woman died after she was allegedly hit by a wooden stick while trying to intervene in a fight between her two sons here on Wednesday, police said.
The incident took place in Hakkabad village in the Baddupur area in the afternoon.
According to the police, an argument broke out between the woman’s sons, identified as Ram Asare and Putan, over an unspecified issue. The dispute escalated into a physical fight with lathis.
Their mother, Lajjawati, intervened to stop the fight but was hit by a wooden stick and suffered serious injuries.
Family members rushed her to the Community Health Centre in Fatehpur, where doctors declared her dead.
Baddupur SHO Manoj Sonkar said the woman died during a dispute between her
two sons.
“Police are investigating the matter and gathering details about the cause of the dispute and the circumstances in which the woman sustained injuries,” he said. PTI COR CDN SMV SMV SKY SKY
