Main Vaapas Aaunga Trailer: Vedang Raina, Sharvari Lead A Partition-Era Love Story In Imtiaz Ali Film | Watch

In Imtiaz Ali’s world, love is rarely just a feeling. It lives in fleeting moments, unfinished conversations, and memories that stay with people for years. In his upcoming theatrical release, Main Vaapas Aaunga, the filmmaker explores one such story. Featuring Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina and Sharvari, the film promises an emotional and layered cinematic experience.

Following the response to its teaser and music, the makers have now released the trailer, offering a glimpse into a world shaped by love, longing and belonging. The film also reunites the acclaimed trio of A. R. Rahman, Irshad Kamil and Imtiaz Ali, whose collaborations have produced several memorable soundtracks over the years.

Speaking about the trailer, Imtiaz Ali

Main Vaapas Aaunga is a personal story of love and longing which remained in someone’s heart for 78 years after the partition of the country. It is also an echo of hundreds of stories that I heard from the veteran generation that has seen partition with their own eyes. The film looks back from a contemporary point of view at the heart beats of a dynamic generation. I feel privileged and grateful to get the chance to work on this story and make this film. Produced by Birla Studios, Applause Entertainment and Window Seat Films, the film is slated to release in theatres on June 12, 2026. Music for the film has been released under Tips Music.
