Bengal T20 Leagues third season begins Friday

Kolkata, Jun 4 (PTI) The third season of the Bengal T20 League, which will feature eight men’s and eight women’s teams, will begin on Friday.

The tournament will continue till June 21.

Adamas Howrah Warriors and Kolkata Royal Tigers will enter the third season as the defending champions of the men’s and women’s competitions respectively.

Adamas Howrah Warriors will take on Novus Royals Purulia in the season opener here on Friday while in the first game of the women’s competition, Kolkata Royal Tigers will face Novus Royals Purulia.

“We expect more T20 cricketers to emerge so that they can go on to play for India and in the IPL. This is a platform for them to prove their mettle in T20 cricket. CAB has a duty towards the promotion of its cricketers,

and this is a platform for them to showcase their abilities in T20 cricket,” said Cricket Association of Bengal secretary Bablu Koley. PTI DDV PDS
