BLACKPINK have achieved another major milestone just when fans are waiting for their 2026 return. One of the group’s biggest hits, Kill This Love, has crossed 1 billion streams on Spotify. Released in 2019,
the song continues to attract new listeners worldwide. With this achievement, BLACKPINK have made history as the first female K-pop group to have more than one song reach the billion-stream mark on the platform.
Their earlier release, How You Like That, remains their most-streamed track with over 1.21 billion streams and continues to grow daily. Globally, Fifth Harmony is the only other female group to have achieved the same feat with two separate songs.
Kill This Love Joins The Billion Club On Spotify
Kill This Love came out in April 2019 as the main song from BLACKPINK’s album with the same name. Just a year before How You Like That became a worldwide hit, this track helped the group reach more listeners outside Asia. The song played a big part in growing their fan base in the West and pushing Jennie, Jisoo, Rose and Lisa closer to global fame.
BLACKPINK’s 2022 release Pink Venom is also close to joining the billion-stream club, currently standing at around 960 million streams on Spotify. It is followed by Shut Down, which is nearing 850 million plays, and DDU-DU DDU-DU, which has amassed approximately 835 million streams. Several other BLACKPINK tracks continue to post impressive numbers on the platform, including As If It’s Your Last, Kiss and Make Up, Lovesick Girls, BOOMBAYAH, and Ice Cream, their collaboration with Selena Gomez.
Kill This Love marked BLACKPINK’s first release in 2019 after they announced their partnership with Interscope Records and Universal Music Group. The labels handle the group’s music in all regions outside Asia.
The group has continued to break new ground since then. In 2025, they became the first K-pop girl group to headline Coachella. BLACKPINK are also the most subscribed music group on YouTube. Other than their group work, all four members have released solo songs, and each of their tracks has been successful on international music charts.
BLACKPINK To Perform In Tokyo
Currently, Jennie, Jisoo, Rose and Lisa are busy preparing their much-awaited comeback album. Alongside new music, the group is also wrapping up their DEADLINE tour with final shows in Asia. BLACKPINK will perform in Tokyo on January 16 and 18, followed by concerts in Hong Kong on January 25 and 26.
