Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan remembered his mother, Teji Bachchan, in an emotional post. Big B, who often shares his thoughts with his fans through blogs, today took the opportunity to relive some childhood memories with his late mother.
Big B started the blog by writing about how people take too much tension over small things. Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Sometimes just a minor change in what has been bothering you makes life so much easier… the change needs to be executed and, of course, applied regularly… but then after… what a relief… and you wonder, was it really worth spending so much time, energy and strain on an issue that really had a simple application… for the better… and homemade ingenuity has always worked the best.”
Following this,
the actor recalled how his mother used to take care of him and said, “That warm caress from Ma… a reassurance in her words… that round ball of her dupatta, warmed with her breath, applied to your eyes… and the immediate relief… and her words.”
He further concluded his post by adding, “She is not with us now, but just thinking of those moments brings that care, confidence and assurance again… blessed be the Mother, who brought us into this world… be well, Ef, and be connected ever.”
Amitabh Bachchan on the work front
Bachchan recently wrapped up hosting duties for the 17th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, marking yet another milestone in his long association with the show. Bidding an emotional goodbye, he reflected on the journey with viewers. “Sometimes, we live a moment so deeply and get so lost in it that when it reaches its final point, it feels as though it had just begun, and yet it is ending so soon. Everything feels like it happened just yesterday. I am about to begin the last day of this game, going through these emotions. I’ve spent one-third of my life… more than one-third of my life, with all of you, and it has been a great privilege.”
On the work front, Bachchan was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. The film, also starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan, turned into a massive box office success, crossing Rs 1,000 crore worldwide. Bachchan’s portrayal of Ashwatthama drew widespread praise, and he is currently filming the sequel, continuing his remarkable run in cinema.
