Who Is New Shark Mohit Yadav?
Mohit Yadav is an Indian entrepreneur and the co-founder of Minimalist, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) skincare brand that has transformed the beauty industry with its transparency-first approach. With over 15 years of experience in finance, technology, and consumer brands, Mohit is known for his business acumen and innovative strategies.
A Gold Medalist Chartered Accountant, Mohit secured an All India Rank 26 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Before founding Minimalist, he worked with esteemed organisations like Deloitte and Credit Suisse, gaining valuable expertise in finance and operations.
Under Mohit’s leadership, Minimalist has seen exponential growth, achieving a revenue of ₹184 crore in 2023 and projecting ₹350 crore for 2024. A significant milestone was reached when Minimalist was acquired by Hindustan Unilever (HUL) for ₹2,955 crore, marking one of India’s largest D2C acquisitions.
Though his exact net worth is not publicly known, it is estimated to be substantial due to the success of Minimalist and his investments, including a notable ₹148.6 crore investment in Bold Care.
Besides Mohit Yadav, investors such as Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, and Peyush Bansal are expected to return to the show. These investors have become household names and celebrities since the maiden season of the show premiered on Indian television.
As per reports, to date, across its four seasons, the show has facilitated over 741 pitches, delivered 351 deals, and disbursed more than Rs 293 crore in committed funding. Fans are now excited to see what new pitches season 5 has in store. An official release is yet to be announced.
