Stranger Things And Heated Rivalry Dominate Billboard’s Top TV Songs Chart

Stranger Things is dominating headlines again, but this time for its soundtrack. For the second month in a row, Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) reigns on Billboard’s latest Top TV Songs chart.

Alongside Stranger Things

, the widely popular sports romantic series, Heated Rivalry’s soundtrack also made a splash on the latest Top TV Songs list, bowing with three tunes in the top six.

Stranger Things’ Soundtrack Dominates Billboard Chart

According to Billboard, the rankings for the Top TV Songs chart are based on song and show data provided by the song trader company Tunefind and ranked using a formula blending that data with sales and streaming information, which are tracked by Luminate during that period.

However, this was not the

first time that Stranger Things’ Running Up That Hill secured a place on the Billboard chart. The 80s track was first featured in the series’ fourth season, marking the song’s return to the Billboard Hot 100.

The famous Kate Bush song continued to serve as a motif in Stranger Things’ fifth and final season, which premiered in May 2024. According to Luminate reports, in December, “Running Up That Hill” earned 21.3 million official US streams and sold 5,000 downloads.

With Running Up That Hill securing the first position in the latest chart, Stranger Things managed to occupy four of the ten positions. Fleetwood Mac’s Landslide secured the no. 2 position, while Prince’s Purple Rain and When Doves Cry were seen in the no. 5 and 10 positions, respectively.

Heated Rivalry’s Soundtrack Joins the List

With three songs in the top 10 list, Heated Rivalry also managed to dominate the music scene. As per Billboard data, t.A.T.u.’s All the Things She Said secured the no. 3 position with 9.2 million streams, while Harrison’s rendition and Wolf Parade’s I’ll Believe in Anything stood at no. 4 and 6 with 3.9 million and 2.4 million streams, respectively.
