New Delhi, Aug 13 (PTI) Max Healthcare Institute Ltd on Thursday reported a 3.4 per cent rise in profit after tax at Rs 357 crore in the first quarter ended June 30.
The company had posted Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 345 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, Max Healthcare Institute Ltd (MHIL) said in a statement.
Network gross revenue was at Rs 2,982 crore a growth of 16 per cent over Rs 2,574 crore, it added.
International patient revenue stood at Rs 247 crore, up 18 per cent YoY, it added. The company said its board has approved a capital expenditure of Rs 425 crore for a brownfield tower at MSSH Vaishali.
This will add 202 beds to the existing capacity of 387 beds, it added.
Besides, the board also granted an in-principle approval
to foray into medical education and set-up medical colleges, in view of the proposed regulatory changes by National Medical Commission, the company said.
Commenting on the performance, MHIL CMD, Abhay Soi said, “Q1 FY27 marks a strong start to the year, with the successful consummation of two strategic acquisitions and a robust increase in operational bed capacity.” Revenue and EBITDA growth were in line with expectations. With additional beds becoming operational during Q2 at the Saket complex, Nanavati-Max, Mumbai and the integration of MSSH Bhubaneswar underway, the company is well positioned for a strong FY27 and sustained growth thereafter, he added.
