At a time when markets have remained volatile amid the conflict between Iran and Israel and concerns over the global economic outlook, shares of Himadri Speciality Chemicals Ltd (HSCL) have significantly outperformed benchmark indices.
The stock has delivered a return of 46.26% over the last six months and 38.76% in the current calendar year. Shares of Himadri Speciality Chemicals closed at a record high of Rs 688 on June 5, up 7.17% for the day, after touching an intraday high of Rs 698.
In comparison, both benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex have posted negative returns during the same period. The Nifty 50 declined 10.90% over the last six months and 11.61% in the current calendar year, while the Sensex fell 13.59% and 13.72%, respectively.
Sachin Janardan Sarvade, assistant vice-president – derivatives, retail research at IDBI Capital Markets and Securities Ltd, has recommended buying Himadri Speciality Chemicals at current levels, with a stop-loss of Rs 579 and a target price of Rs 900.
The company’s share price performance has been supported by strong financial results. For FY26, Himadri Speciality Chemicals reported strong revenue of Rs 4,661 crore, EBITDA of Rs 1,006 crore and profit after tax of Rs 755 crore. The company has stated that it aims to double its profit from FY25 levels by FY28.
Rajesh Palviya, senior vice-president and head of research at Axis Securities, said the stock remains in an uptrend across multiple time frames and recently touched a record high of Rs 698. He noted that trading volumes have increased in recent months, indicating higher investor participation.
Palviya said daily and weekly Bollinger Band indicators continue to signal positive momentum. The daily, weekly and monthly Relative Strength Index (RSI) also remains in favourable territory, suggesting strength across time frames. The stock is trading above its 20-day, 50-day, 100-day and 200-day simple moving averages, while these averages continue to trend higher.
Shares of Himadri Speciality Chemical were trading lower by 0.90 per cent at Rs 660.65 apiece on the NSE, in the noon trade. However, the NSE Nifty was up by 0.24 per cent at 23,178, as of 11:58 am.
