Some everyday interactions show how much technology has changed people’s lives. One such interaction involves a visually impaired man who grabbed attention when he paid his Rapido driver all by himself
without any help. The way he handled the payment left the driver surprised.
The driver films the interaction while the payment is made. The entire process leaves the driver stunned who cannot understand how the phone is being used since nothing is visible on the screen.
‘Kuch Nahi Dikh Raha Screen Mein’: The Exchange That Left Rapido Driver Stunned
After dropping the passenger, identified as Bhanu Aggarwal, the driver shows him the QR code to scan. The moment Bhanu begins the process, his mobile screen goes dark. The driver tells him about it but Bhanu replies, “Wo koi issue nahi hai, wo screen actually blur hai (It’s not an issue, the screen is actually blurred).” The surprised driver responds, “Usme kuch dikh hi nahi raha phone mein (Nothing is visible on the phone).”
Bhanu then explains, “Actually isme ek software hai (There is a software in this).” The driver reminds him that he will still need to enter the amount. Bhanu tells him that he has entered the required details and says, “Mera phone bolta hai toh uske according main pura manage karta hu (My phone speaks to me and I handle everything accordingly).”
As completing the payment, Bhanu asks the driver to confirm whether he has received it. Once the driver says yes Bhanu requests for his phone number. The driver reads it out and Bhanu saves it. He tells him, “Number save kijiyega mera taki mai call kar saku (Please save my number so I can call you).” The driver replies, “Accha laga aap se mil kar (It was nice meeting you)” and even offers help to guide him inside. Bhanu tells him someone will be arriving to assist.
Once Bhanu walks away, the driver continues speaking in the video, still trying to understand what he witnessed. He says, “Mujhe na ye nahi pata ki inhone payment kaise kara yaar. Matlab us phone mein kuch show hi nahi ho raha tha aur unko dikhta bhi nhi hai (I really don’t know how he made the payment. The phone wasn’t showing anything, and he couldn’t even see).”

So How Did He Make The Payment?
A user eventually asked this question to the chatbot Grok. In its response, Grok explained that smartphones already come with accessibility tools designed for visually impaired users. These tools read out whatever appears on the screen, guide the user through gestures, help them enter details like the payment amount and confirm each step aloud.
