World No. 1 ODI batter Virat Kohli now holds the record for scoring the most centuries in ODIs as well as in international cricket against New Zealand. The 37-year-old right-handed batter from Delhi scored his 7th ODI century for India against the Black Caps on Sunday, January 18, in Indore.
In the ongoing third and final ODI of the home series against the Black Caps at Holkar Stadium, Kohli needed 89 balls to reach the 100-run mark.

Kohli’s previous ODI century against the Black Caps was way back on November 15, 2023. In the first semifinal match of the ODI World Cup 2023 played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Kohli scored 117 runs. In that match, Kohli broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most ODI centuries by
slamming his 50th triple-digit score in the 50-over format of the game.
