Mumbai’s suburban rail commuters are likely to face disruptions on Sunday, June 28, as Central Railway has announced a mega block on sections of the Central and Trans-Harbour lines for essential maintenance work. Services on affected routes may be delayed, diverted or regulated during the block period.
Central Line
A mega block will be carried out on the Up and Down slow lines between Matunga and Mulund from 11.05 am to 3.55 pm.

During this period, local train services running on the slow corridors are expected to be regulated, diverted to fast lines where feasible, or delayed. Commuters have been advised to factor
in additional travel time.
Trans-Harbour Line
The Up and Down Harbour lines between Thane and Vashi/Nerul will remain under a mega block from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm.
Passengers travelling between Thane, Vashi, Nerul and nearby stations are advised to plan their journeys in advance as services may be affected during the maintenance work.
Western Railway
Western Railway has not announced any daytime Jumbo Block on its suburban network on Sunday.

However, an overnight jumbo block will be carried out on the Up and Down fast lines between Borivali and Bhayandar from 11.30 pm on Saturday (June 27) to 4.30 am on Sunday (June 28) for maintenance of tracks, signalling systems and overhead equipment.
During the overnight block:
Fast local trains between Virar/Vasai Road and Borivali will be diverted to the slow lines. Some suburban train services will remain cancelled. The list of cancelled trains will be available with station masters across the suburban section. Harbour And Uran Lines
No mega block has been scheduled on the Harbour Line or the Uran Line, offering relief to commuters travelling on those routes.
Railway authorities have urged passengers to check the latest service updates before starting their journey and cooperate with railway staff during the maintenance work.
