Ayushmaan Khurrana Was Offered Thamma, Before Stree 2, Munjya and Bhediya
The Andhadhun actor shared that he was approached for Thamma a long time ago, even before the release of Maddock’s hit horror-comedy instalments Stree 2, Munjya, and Bhediya. He said, “It happened some four years back, before the release of Munjya, Stree 2 and Bhediya. So four years ago, it just blew my mind. I was very excited and it was different from my filmography because I have done a lot of realistic films. So this is like a coming-of-age story of a guy next door with a typical superhero arc and I think that film is very exciting.
Ayushmaan Khurrana On The Challenges He Faced While Filming Thamma
When asked about the most challenging part of the film, given that he had never explored this genre or played such a role before, he shared, “Mostly the action part. I have never done such a crazy action before. Though I have done action as an action hero and that was very realistic. But this was very fantastical, jumping around and those crazy moments. So I think that was something that was the most challenging for me.”
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, Thamma is the fifth instalment of the Maddock Horror comedy franchise. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal.
