Kannauj, Sep 5 (PTI) Three youths, a minor among them, were killed on Saturday after an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle near Dudwa intersection in Gursahaiganj police station area here, police said.
The incident took place when they were returning home after viewing the Janmashtami tableaux in Gursahaiganj, according to police.
The injured were taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
SHO Ajay Awasthi said that the victims have been identified as Anurag (18), Ashish (17) and Aman alias Krishna (18).
“They had gone to Gursahaiganj to see the Janmashtami tableaux. They were returning home on a motorcycle at around 1.30 am. Near Dudwa intersection, an unidentified vehicle rammed into their motorcycle, leaving all
three critically injured. They were rushed to the district hospital, where doctors declared them dead,” he said.
Police said they have sent the bodies of the deceased for a post-mortem examination and initiated an investigation into the matter. PTI COR NAV PRK
