Akanksha Chamola Confirms She Is Bisexual; Shiny Doshi, Nehal Chudasama Extend Support: ‘So Proud Of You’

On Lock Upp 2, Akanksha Chamola recently opened up about being bisexual, confirming that her ‘secret’ earlier revealed by Shreya Kalra on the show was true. She said that she had relationships with a few women before marrying Gaurav Khanna. She got emotional after opening up about this on the reality show. Now, Akanksha has received widespread support from her friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry. Actress Shiny Doshi extended her support, praising Akanksha for speaking her truth with so much grace. Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 19 fame Nehal Chudasama called it unfair for Shreya Kalra to ‘casually reveal’ something so personal about Akanksha on the show.

Shiny Doshi Praises Akanksha Chamola

Shiny Doshi took to her Instagram stories and wrote, “So so proud of you my friend.

I’ve met you and felt your energy and I can vouch for how pure a soul you are. Every woman is unique, powerful and beautiful in her own way. Celebrating that beauty, regardless of labels, should never require an explanation. Proud of you for speaking your truth with so much grace, honesty and strength. Love is all you need.”

Nehal Chudasama’s Message For Akanksha Chamola

Nehal Chudasama wrote, “Sexuality is still such a sensitive and personal journey, especially in Indian society. Everyone deserves the space, respect and freedom to share their truth at their own pace- when, how and if they choose to. It’s deeply unfair to take that moment away from someone or casually reveal something so personal on their behalf. Feel sad that Akanksha had to experience that, but also proud of how she owns every part of who she is with strength and Pride.”

On Lock Upp 2, when asked to open up about her secret, Akanksha Chamola said, “Toh main shaadi se pehle bisexual thi. Mere relations rahe hain kuch ladkiyon ke saath. Bohot zyada intimate relations nahi rahe hain, but I have been in relations with a few females. And, bas, vohi hai, mujhe ladkiya pasand hain.”

She added, “Main admire karti hoon. Main attract hoti hoon unki taraf. Bas, I think, mera voh safe space hai. Growing up, mujhe aisa lagta ki it’s a very male-dominated world aur hamesha se aap mummy ki taraf jaate ho, bheno ki taraf jaate ho toh kahin na kahin voh ek comfort zone jo unse milta hai, I love that comfort.”

“I love that feminine energy. I think I thrive in that. Jahan pe aise society main rehte hain na, log bolte hain 2 ladkiya kabhi dost nahi ho sakti, unke beech main hamesha koi na koi jealousy hota hai ya competition hota hai, mere main voh feeling hi nahi aati. Main hamesha, like, for me, all females are beautiful. Bas mere liye voh pyaar hi hai, ab aap usko jo bhi tag… It’s a tag which society has given. For me, it’s pure love,” she said.

Akanksha became emotional and Farah Khan hugged her and praised her courage. She admitted that she has been feeling overwhelmed in the show, saying it felt like a mistake to be there as her personal life has been coming under scrutiny since day one. She was referring to her earlier revelation about her separation from Gaurav Khanna and their ongoing divorce.
