The top eight teams of this year’s tournament will battle it out in four quarterfinal clashes this week for a place in the semifinals. The first quarterfinal of this year’s FIFA World Cup will be played between France and Morocco in Foxborough. France secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Paraguay in the Round of 16, while Morocco thrashed co-hosts Canada 3-0 at NRG Stadium in Houston.
In the second quarterfinal, Spain will lock horns
with Belgium. The Red Devils defeated the United States 4-1 in their Round of 16 clash on Monday (Tuesday IST). They will, however, face a stern test against Spain, who are yet to concede a goal in this year’s tournament.
Harry Kane-led England are scheduled to take on Erling Haaland’s Norway on Saturday. The Three Lions defeated Mexico 3-2 in a hard-fought contest at Estadio Azteca, while Norway knocked five-time champions Brazil out of the tournament thanks to Haaland’s brace.
The fourth and final quarterfinal will be played between defending champions Argentina and Switzerland who defeated Colombia 4-3 in penalties.

All four quarterfinal matches will be played across four venues in the United States. Gillette Stadium in Foxborough will host the first quarterfinal, while the remaining three matches are scheduled to be played in Inglewood, Miami, and Kansas City.
