Kartik Aaryan is currently working on his next movie, Naagzilla. While the film is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14 this year, it looks like the makers are planning to postpone the movie. If a recent report by Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, the shooting of the Kartik Aaryan-starrer is currently underway and will take a few more months to be wrapped up. Since makers do not want to rush to finish the project, they are likely to delay its release a little.
“Naagzilla’s shoot is still going on and is expected to be wrapped up in a few months. Moreover, this is a film with heavy VFX. As a result, the post-production is going to take a lot of time. The makers of the film and lead actor Kartik Aaryan are very clear that they don’t want to rush
through the process. They are aware that they have a special film in hand and want to nurture and fine-tune it properly before presenting it to the audience,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed.
“The makers of Naagzilla are looking for a new date and once it is locked, it will be officially announced,” the insider added.
What Do We Know About Naagzilla?
Kartik Aaryan will be playing the role of Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadaari Naag in Naagzilla. The actor’s first look from the film was released in April 2025. Back then, Karan Johar shared the motion poster and wrote, “Insanon wali picharein toh bahut dekh li, ab dekho naagon wali pichchar! #NaagZilla – Naag lok ka pehla kaand… Funnn phailaane aa raha hai – Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand… Naag Panchami par 🐍 aapke nazdeeki Sssssinemas mein – 14 August 2026 ko!”
