Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel is quite active on social media and often interacts with her fans through question-and-answer sessions on X (formerly Twitter). On Sunday, she hosted an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session, during which she answered several questions from fans. A netizen asked her about the growing trend of actors travelling with large entourages and whether it is fair for producers to foot the bill. Reacting to this, Ameesha took a jibe at female actresses, claiming that, in some cases, their entourages during film promotions can cost more than their films’ opening-day collections.

A fan asked Ameesha, “Mam what do you feel of the many stars who are carrying extra entourage at the producers cost for their shoots. Is it the correct thing
to do?”
Sharing her views, Ameesha replied, “Many female actresses are in denial of their stardom; their entourage during film promotions which comes at the cost of the producers are bigger then their day 1 collection hope they have the same entourage in their regular life minus a producer paying for it. (sic)”.

‘I’d Rather Create Gadar Once In Few Years’, Says Ameesha
Meanwhile, another fan asked the actress about her next project. “What is your upcoming project? Are you willing to work in webseries and OTT platform?” asked the X user.
Ameesha replied that she would much rather be part of films that create havoc at the box office than feature in “rubbish filler” films.
“Don’t want to be part of buy one get one free offer films and 99 RS ticket price films and that too from day 1 on release day. Rather create gadar once in few years then to do RUBBISH filler film and time wil come super soon to create another havoc at the box office,” she wrote.
Ameesha Patel’s Work Front
Ameesha Patel forayed into the Hindi film industry with Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai in 2000, starring opposite Hrithik Roshan. The film went on to become a major box-office success, marking a strong start to her Bollywood career. She subsequently appeared in several popular films, including Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Humraaz, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Race 2.
In recent years, Ameesha returned to the spotlight with Gadar 2 in 2023. The film saw her reunite with Sunny Deol and reprise her role as Sakeena alongside his Tara Singh, characters they had first played in the 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The sequel emerged as one of the year’s most successful Hindi releases.
