Arriving at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport often feels like the journey isn’t quite over. For Bengalureans, the struggle of travelling to and from the airport is all too familiar. Recently,
one passenger experienced this frustration firsthand. A woman shared her ordeal after being stuck in an Uber-Ola pickup queue for over two hours.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she posted a video capturing a long, seemingly endless line of travellers waiting with their luggage in the designated pickup area.

Passenger Prefers KSTDC Taxi Over App-Based Cabs
Another woman shared her post and said that she has stopped relying on app-based cabs altogether, choosing KSTDC taxis instead, and calls them “10X more convenient.” She shared that she simply walks to the KSTDC bay, gets a cab right away, and reaches home, about 50 km away, in just an hour.
“KSTDC is the best. I haven’t taken an Ola/Uber from the airport in ages. I’ll head straight to the KSTDC Airport taxi bay. No waiting time, cleaner vehicles, great drivers and proper bill. Slightly expensive maybe … but it’s 10x more convenient,” she wrote.

‘This Is A Regular Issue At Bengaluru Airport,’ Says Internet
Reacting to the viral post, several users also recommended taking buses or taxis instead of waiting in line.
“Dear user, KIA AC buses exist and cover all parts of the city. super convenient & cheap for arrivals compared to taxi,” a user wrote.
Another said, “Regular issue. Taxi management is putrid. Airport taxis are to be removed and banned. They loot & don’t give bills. Uber black is forced upon you. Uber Prime or Ola Prime is also not available. Total mismanagement in BLR airport.”
“Always pre-book your cab to avoid this crowd & it’s time-saving,” suggested a user.
An individual stated, “This is one of the reasons I always try to land in the afternoon/evening, so you don’t have to get stuck in the parking lot for 4 hours.”
“If this is how ‘night arrivals’ look, I can’t imagine daytime chaos,” read a comment.
Many Bengaluru residents described it as a common problem, alleging that there is widespread mismanagement at the airport.
