Tempers exploded inside and outside the ring as India’s Neeraj Goyat and USA’s Anthony Taylor clashed following their bout at the Misfits Boxing event in Dubai.
Goyat settled the fight where it mattered — between the ropes — cruising to a clear unanimous decision. But the bad blood didn’t end with the final bell.
Cameras later caught the two fighters in a heated backstage confrontation, turning a dominant win into an ugly postscript.
The tension had been simmering well before fight night. Taylor had crossed the line during the build-up, disparaging India and questioning the country’s boxing pedigree — comments that clearly didn’t age well.
Once the bell rang, Goyat made Taylor pay.

The Indian pro — nicknamed ‘Gangster’ — neutralised Taylor’s aggression over all six rounds, sweeping the scorecards 59-55, 58-56 and 60-54, to underline his dominance.
Then came the chaos.
Backstage in the medical room, Taylor approached Goyat to shake hands.
The Indian boxer wasn’t having it.

“The f*ck are you talkin’, man? You do not even know about boxing, man,” Goyat snapped.
That rejection triggered Taylor. The American hurled a bottle at Goyat and barked, “Shut up, bi*ch,” before security rushed in to separate the pair and escort Taylor out.
The incident left Goyat’s camp furious, questioning how Taylor was even allowed into the room in the first place.
Afterwards, Goyat had the final word — and it was aimed squarely at Taylor’s pre-fight disrespect.
“This American guy underestimated me,” he said. “I just want to say, do not underestimate Indians. I had said India is your father, so India is your father. Indians definitely do what they say.”
