Rain fury: Maratha Seva Sangh demands declaration of wet drought

Latur, Sep 26 (PTI) Jijau Brigade, women’s wing of the Maratha Seva Sangh, on Friday demanded that the Maharashtra government declare a wet drought in the state in view of the loss of crops due to excessive

rains, especially in Marathwada.

Members of the organization submitted a memorandum to this effect to Sub-Divisional Officer Sangita Takle here.

Farmers must receive compensation without delay, especially with the festive season approaching, it said. PTI COR KRK
