Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the registration deadline for admission to classes 9 and 11 yet again. Applications can now be submitted until October 23. Earlier, the last date to apply was October 21. The registration form is available on the official website, cbseitms.nic.in. The application correction window will remain open from October 24 to 26.
“The last date for submission of online application for class IX LEST 2026 has been extended up to 23.10.2025. The correction window will remain open w.e.f. 24.10.2025 to 26.10.2025. Registered candidates may make corrections in Area/Gender/category/Medium of exam/Disability only,” states the official notice.
The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST 2026) for admission
to classes 9 and 11 will be conducted on February 7, from 11 AM to 1:30 PM.
JNVST Admission 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Students must be bona fide residents of the district where they wish to apply and should be studying in the same district. Applicants for class 9 should be born between May 1, 2011, and July 31, 2013 (inclusive). They must be currently enrolled in class 8 at a government or government-recognized school.
Applicants for class 11 must be studying in class 10 at a government or government-recognized school in the same district as the NVS where admission is sought. The candidate should be born between June 1, 2009, and July 31, 2011.
JNVST 2026: How To Apply
Step 1. Visit the official website: cbseitms.nic.in
Step 2. Thoroughly read the notification and guidelines for your respective class before applying.
Step 3. Fill in the required information as per the instructions.
Step 4. Upload the necessary documents.
Step 5. Once all information and documents are correctly filled in, submit the application.
JNVST Exam Pattern
Navodaya Vidyalaya has released the entrance exam pattern and syllabus. The exam will last two hours and 30 minutes, with an extra 50 minutes for students with disabilities. It will consist of 100 objective-type questions.
The Class 6 entrance exam will include 15 questions in English, 35 in Mathematics, and 35 in General Knowledge. Meanwhile, the Class 11 entrance exam will have 20 questions each in Mental Ability, English, Science, Social Science, and Mathematics.
