New Delhi, Jul 3 (PTI) Nearly one-fourth of Delhi’s 1.45 crore electors have been distributed enumeration forms, while less than one per cent of the completed forms have been digitised in the first four days of the ongoing SIR, according to official data.
A total of 33,14,116 enumeration forms were distributed across the national capital and 1,02,308 completed forms were digitised till Friday, the data shared by the office of the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) showed.
The distribution covered 22.84 per cent of Delhi’s 1,45,10,298 registered electors, while the digitised forms accounted for 0.71 per cent of the total electorate.
The month-long door-to-door survey under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Phase III of the electoral rolls began
on June 30 and will continue till July 29.
Among the districts, North West recorded the highest number of forms distributed at 3,81,072, followed by Central North (3,18,211), North (3,05,464), East (2,94,572) and South East (2,90,668).
In percentage terms, New Delhi led all districts with 31.41 per cent of its electors covered, followed by North (31.36 per cent), North West (29.84 per cent) and Old Delhi (25.84 per cent).
East recorded the lowest distribution percentage at 18.37 per cent, followed by South East (19.01 per cent), Central (19.22 per cent) and West (20.42 per cent).
In terms of digitisation, South West topped the list with 18,222 forms digitised, followed by West (14,728), Outer North (12,325), South (8,953) and Central North (8,207).
Percentage-wise, Outer North recorded the highest digitisation rate at 1.48 per cent, followed by South West (1.37 per cent) and Central North and West (1.01 per cent each).
East reported the lowest digitisation rate at 0.35 per cent, followed by Central (0.38 per cent) and Old Delhi and North East (0.39 per cent each).
During the SIR exercise, booth-level officers (BLOs) are providing each voter with two copies of the enumeration form. One copy will remain with the voter as an acknowledgement, while the other will be collected by the BLO. No documents are required to be submitted along with the enumeration form.
The form must be filled out by every voter for their names to be included in the final electoral roll scheduled to be published on October 7.
Electors who do not submit the enumeration form will not find their names in the draft electoral roll to be published on August 5, according to the CEO’s office. PTI MSJ VIT APL APL
