ABOUT
Panchkula Mayor is one of the three mayoral posts that went to the polls in the 2026 Haryana Local Body Elections. The post is being contested through a direct election among six candidates.
According to the 2011 Census of India, Panchkula has an estimated population of 2,91,224, including 41,467 people belonging
to the Scheduled Castes category.
VOTER TURNOUT
Out of the total electorate of 2,07,444 voters, 1,10,743 votes were cast in the Panchkula mayoral elections.
The elections were held across 204 booths, of which Booth No. 191 Government Primary School, Jaswantgarh in Ward 19 registered the highest voter turnout at 90.53%, while Booth No. 96 Little Flower Convent School, Sector-14 Panchkula (east Part) in Ward 10 recorded the lowest turnout at 22.21%.
The overall voter turnout for the Panchkula mayoral election stood at 53.4%.
POLL DATES
The gazette notification for the Panchkula Mayoral Election was issued on April 15, 2026 (Wednesday). The last date for scrutiny of nominations was April 27, 2026 (Monday), while the final date for withdrawal of nominations was April 28, 2026 (Tuesday).
Voting took place on Sunday, May 10, 2026, and the counting of votes is happening on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

In the 2020 Panchkula Mayoral election, Kulbhushan Goyal of the Bharatiya Janata Party won and was elected as the Mayor of Panchkula.
