Trisha Krishnan, who is rumoured to be dating her co-star from multiple films, Vijay, went to attend his swearing-in ceremony. Vijay took the oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium on Sunday (May 10), following his party’s grand victory in the 2026 elections. Trisha, who was there to support her close friend and rumoured partner, spoke to the media and shared her excitement.
Trisha, who wore a stunning blue silk saree paired with a contrasting off-white heavily adorned blouse, paired the saree with contrasting jewellery featuring red jewels and tied her hair back in a low bun adorned with gajra. She spoke to the media following Vijay’s oath ceremony.
The actress, unable to control her happiness, while blushing,
shared with Times Now, “I am very happy.” When asked if she wished to share any message for the people of Tamil Nadu, who supported Vijay in his big win, Trisha shared, “Yes, congratulations.”

Trisha was seen warmly greeting Vijay’s family members at the venue and also met the newly sworn-in Chief Minister’s mother, Shobha Chandrasekhar, and sister, Vidya Chandrasekhar. Fans on social media could not stop talking about how proud Trisha looked during Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony. Many wrote that she looked “genuinely ecstatic” watching her longtime friend take oath as Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister. Many even called her one of Vijay’s “biggest supporters” during his transition from cinema superstar to political leader. The actress had also made headlines earlier this week after being spotted at Vijay’s Chennai residence as Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam’s election victory became clear.

Leading his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, Vijay emerged as the single largest force in the 2026 Assembly elections with 108 seats, ending nearly six decades of uninterrupted dominance by the DMK and AIADMK.
