Bengaluru, Jun 5 (PTI) Lokayukta police on Friday trapped and arrested two engineers of the Greater Bengaluru Authority and a private individual while they were allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh for clearing issues related to an apartment building in the city.
The action followed a complaint filed by Paramesh, a 42-year-old resident of Belthur in the Kadugodi area of Bengaluru.
According to Lokayukta officials, Nagabhushan G (59), assistant executive engineer, Kodigehalli subdivision, GBA North, issued a notice regarding an alleged illegal construction at the Aaryan Enclair Apartment.
Subsequently, assistant engineer Praveen A R (51) allegedly demanded Rs 3 lakh from the complainant to resolve the issue.
Following the complaint, the Lokayukta
police laid a trap and caught Nagabhushan, Praveen and Mansoor Ali (40), a real-estate businessman, red-handed while accepting Rs 2 lakh as part of the bribe amount. PTI GMS AMJ ARI ARI
