India Lose 3rd T20I
In the third T20I, South Africa won the toss and elected to field first. Half-centuries from Harmanpreet (66 off 38 balls, with seven fours and three sixes) and Shafali Verma (64 off 46 balls, with eight fours and two sixes) took India to 192/4 in 20 overs. Nonkululeko Mlaba (2/31) was the pick of the bowlers for South Africa.
However, a century from South African skipper Laura Wolvaardt (115 off 53 balls, with 14 fours and five sixes) and an unbeaten fifty from Sune Luus (64* off 42 balls, with six fours and two sixes) powered South Africa to a crushing nine-wicket win with 21 balls to spare.
“I think we should give credit to the South Africa batters the way they batted, and I think they didn’t give us a single chance to come back in the game, even though a few chances we missed out, but I still feel that the way they were batting, I know we didn’t have any second answer for them. And when we looked at the bowling, I think it didn’t go as well as we had hoped it would,” Harmanpreet said after the loss.
