the highest rate of 8.05% per annum to customers, followed closely by Jana Small Finance Bank at 8% and Utkarsh Small Finance Bank at 7.65%. These banks are attracting depositors with lucrative rates, especially for longer tenures such as three or five years, along with additional benefits of up to 0.5% for senior citizens.

On the other hand, the country’s largest public lender State Bank of India (SBI) is offering interest on FDs between 6.05% to 6.60%, while Union Bank of India, and Bank of Baroda are offering FD rates ranging between 6.25% and 6.60%, depending on the tenure.

Private sector lenders like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Axis Bank are offering similar FD returns, with the highest rate capped at 6.60% per annum.
