Sonu Sood is known for his humanitarian work. This time, he reached Nepal to help those affected by the deadly floods there. Sood flew to Kathmandu and said on X (formerly Twitter) that he has travelled to Nepal to meet families impacted by the floods and provide relief materials. Soon after, Sonu Sood was criticised for his visit wherein a journalist questioned whether the actor’s relief work was his ‘marketing’ exercise. The actor has now hit back aptly by asking the journalist to join him in providing aid to those affected by the disaster.
The journalist had written on X, “If this isn’t Sonu Sood’s marketing, if not, then what is it? Just arrived in Nepal and has become the “guardian” of the children there. Haven’t even started the work, and the marketing to
turn him into a god has already kicked off.”
Sonu Sood addressed the media person as ‘brother’ and wrote, “You are a good person, brother! Come to Nepal, both brothers will work together.”
The Fateh actor has been sharing updates from the flood-hit regions, giving a glimpse of the devastation on the ground. On Thursday, he posted a video on X showing him visiting affected areas and assessing the damage. He noted that the floods had impacted buildings as high as four storeys.
Sonu later shared pictures from the Trishuli River, drawing attention to the widespread destruction caused by the floods.
“Standing here today at the Trishuli River, where the floods have left behind unimaginable loss..broken homes, broken families, and lives changed forever. Nepal is not alone. I stand with its people, and I will do everything I can to bring hope, rebuild homes, and help families begin again,” he wrote.

Speaking with ANI about his visit, he said the focus is not just on providing immediate assistance but also on helping people rebuild their lives. The actor said his team has brought essential items, including blankets and food supplies from India, for those affected by the floods.
“We are here to meet flood victims and to distribute relief material to them. We will try to build their lives again,” Sonu Sood said.

Sonu Sood added that more assistance will be needed as affected communities begin the difficult process of rebuilding. “It’s everyone’s duty to do their bit. We have brought a lot of blankets, food materials. And we are still asking. Whatever they need, we are trying to send from India. We will try to ensure that relief continues to come to Nepal in the coming months as well,” he said.
