Nehal Chudasama has consistently remained in the spotlight through her work in the entertainment industry and reality television. Having appeared in shows like Bigg Boss and most recently The 50, she has experienced both appreciation and criticism from audiences. While her time on reality TV often brought trolling and harsh judgments, The 50 gave viewers a chance to see a different side of her personality. Speaking about being misunderstood, dealing with criticism and how audience perception changed over time, Nehal opened up about navigating public scrutiny, online trolling and staying true to herself despite the challenges that came her way.
Talking about how difficult it was to deal with public judgment after reality shows, Nehal shared, “One
of the most difficult aspects of being on reality shows is that people often form opinions based on heavily edited moments without truly knowing the person behind them. I have always been someone who feels emotions deeply and reacts honestly, so being judged for a few clips or narratives was hurtful at times. However, with time, I understood that audiences only see a small fraction of who you are on screen. The people who genuinely know me understand my heart, my intentions, and the kind of person I am beyond television.”
Through her words, Nehal opened up about the emotional side of fame and how painful quick judgments can sometimes become for contestants.
Speaking about The 50 and how it changed her bond with viewers, she said, “Participating in The 50 definitely made an emotional difference for me because people finally got to witness a more authentic and balanced side of my personality. They saw someone who is hardworking, emotionally strong, competitive, yet compassionate at the same time. I gave every task my complete dedication, and I never stayed silent whenever I felt women deserved support or respect. Seeing audiences connect with that version of me felt extremely healing because it reminded me that authenticity eventually reaches people, even if it takes time.”
It is obvious that her stint on the show definitely made everyone look past the trolls and remarks online about her. Many appreciated her for fighting for the rights of women and staying true to herself throughout the show.
Sharing how she now handles criticism differently, Nehal concluded, “What truly changed over time was consistency and authenticity. I stopped feeling the need to constantly explain myself and instead allowed my work and actions to speak for me. During The 50, I was not overthinking anything — I was simply being myself. Audiences today are very intelligent and they can sense when someone is genuine. Gradually, people began noticing my resilience, my loyalty, and the fact that I never gave up despite criticism. At the same time, I also learned not to absorb every negative comment personally, which helped me grow emotionally.”
