Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, one of Indian television’s longest-running and most loved daily fiction shows, recently achieved a historic milestone by completing 5000 episodes. To commemorate the occasion, the makers organised a special puja on the show’s set, bringing together several past and present cast members. However, the noticeable absence of television heartthrob Harshad Chopda caught fans’ attention and sparked curiosity across social media.

Now, Harshad Chopda has finally addressed the matter. In an interview with TellyMasala, the actor spoke candidly about missing the grand celebration and clarified that there was no underlying reason behind his absence.

Breaking his silence, Harshad said, “Koi reason nahi tha (There were no such reasons). Nothing as such. I go everywhere, wherever I am called with certain intention and honesty, I go.”

His statement put an end to speculation, reassuring fans that there was no bitterness or controversy involved.

On the landmark occasion, the makers also released a special promotional video that took viewers on an emotional journey through the show’s evolution. The promo revisited the original lead pair, Akshara and Naitik, played by Hina Khan and Karan Mehra, whose love story laid the foundation of the series and made it a household name.

It then shifts to show the immensely popular pairing of Naira and Kartik, portrayed by Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan. Following which, the clip portrays the intense and emotional journey of Akshara and Dr Abhimanyu, played by Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda.

The story has now moved forward with the current leads, Abhira and Armaan, essayed by Samriddhi Shukla and Rohit Purohit, who continue to carry forward the show’s theme of love, hope and togetherness.
