Arshdeep Singh is India’s highest wicket-taker in T20Is and during the Men in Blue’s second Group A match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 against Namibia on Thursday (February 12) in Delhi, he will have a chance to become India’s highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup as well. If the 27-year-old left-arm fast bowler from Punjab, who led India’s fast bowling attack in their first match against the United States of America on February 7, manages to take at least four wickets against the African team, then he will go past Ravichandran Ashwin’s tally and take the No. 1 position on the list of bowlers with the most wickets for India in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Ashwin, who retired from international cricket in December 2024, played 24 T20
World Cup matches for India and dismissed 32 batters.
On the other hand, as of now, Arshdeep has 29 wickets to his name in 15 T20 World Cup matches played so far.
