An Irish vlogger’s daring train journey in Bangladesh has caught the attention of viewers recently. Sean Hammond decided to experience travel in an unusual way by sitting on top of a moving train instead
of inside the coaches. His journey from Dhaka to Chittagong turned into an adventurous ride which was full of thrills.
The video not just became the talking point for the thrill but also for the Bollywood touch he added. While uploading the video on Instagram, he attached the popular Bollywood song Chhaiyya Chhaiyya from the 1998 film Dil Se starring Shah Rukh Khan as background music. This immediately caught the attention of Indian viewers.
‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ In Bangladesh
The video begins with Sean saying, “I’m gonna ride on top of this train for the next seven hours,” as he films a train stationed at a platform. Locals assist him in climbing to the roof and he starts searching for a space to sit. “Alright, we’re gonna try to find a little bit of space cause this is hectic up here,” he says.
As the train starts moving, Sean enjoys the ride, singing along with locals and sharing snacks. “Honestly, I thought it was going to be kind of scary but it’s pretty chill,” he admits.
The video shows some intense moments during the journey. Sean ducks to avoid low bridges and narrowly escapes branches and other obstacles. A vendor is even seen walking along the roof and selling snacks to passengers like it is a normal part of the ride.
After all the excitement, Sean reaches his destination in Chittagong. “Riding on top of the train in Bangladesh was wild in the best way. I met a bunch of people and we all became train buddies from Dhaka to Chittagong. Never in my life did I think I would share food and song with someone on top of a moving train, but I’m pretty happy I got to experience that. The kindness of the people of Bangladesh is genuine and heartwarming,” he wrote in the caption.
