Madhur Bhandarkar Can’t Stop Praising ‘Dhurandhars’ Aditya Dhar, Akshaye Khanna & Ranveer Singh

In a recent interview with The Times of India, ace director Madhur Bhandarkar showered praise on Dhurandhar, applauding both the director and the cast for delivering such a compelling film. Not only that, he also revealed two other films from this year that left a strong impression on him.

of the film industry with Dhurandhar. He also singled out Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna for their riveting performances in the film.

Recalling Akshaye’s work in Chhaava, Madhur Bhandarkar described his performances in both films as brilliant. He added that Akshaye’s physicality, nuances, and body of work in Dhurandhar could serve as a masterclass for any actor.

While crediting Ranveer Singh, he noted that even when the Ram-Leela actor remains in the background in the film, his presence and performance leave a strong impact. Summing it up, Madhur remarked, “I feel the year belonged to these people only.”

Madhur Feels Ranveer Surrendered To Aditya’s Vision

The National Award-winning director believes that Ranveer’s performance is a result not only of the actor’s exceptional talent but also Aditya’s clear vision. He praised the precision with which Ranveer delivered even his close-up scenes. He acknowledged that restrained performances are challenging to execute, but Ranveer Singh truly mastered it. The director further remarked that he wouldn’t be surprised if the film goes on to break all box-office records.

The Other Two Films That Madhur Loved Are…

Madhur shared that he loved Saiyaara, saying the love story was beautifully told and that both actors, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, were outstanding. He added that despite it being their debut film, they delivered impressive performances. He also spoke about Kantara: Chapter 1, calling it simply phenomenal. Praising Rishab Shetty, Madhur said he thoroughly enjoyed both his performance and the film as a whole.
